Mr Ward is a highly trained Consultant ENT Surgeon based at Portsmouth University Hospital NHS Trust who treats all aspects of ENT surgery and has a specialist interest in Head & Neck, Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, including robotic surgery.

Following UK training, Mr Ward undertook a Fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery at the world-renowned Queensland H&N Skull Base Unit in Brisbane, Australia.

He is one of the highest volume thyroid and parathyroid surgeons in the UK. He is an advocate of innovation in surgery using the latest technology for surgical procedures.

Mr Hayes is a highly trained Consultant ENT Surgeon based at Portsmouth University Hospital NHS Trust who treats all aspects of ENT surgery and has a specialist interest in complex rhinological (nose) disorders utilising image navigation equipment for complex sinus surgery. He also specialises in lacrimal surgery.

Mr Hayes was awarded the British Rhinology Society / Olympus Advanced Rhinology Fellowship in October 2019 undertaking personalised training in Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Anterior Skull Base surgery.

Mr Tim Biggs is a Consultant Rhinologist (ENT) & Facial Plastic Surgeon, based at Portsmouth University Hospitals NHS Trust, he specialises in rhinology, the diagnosis and treatment of nasal and sinus conditions, as well as facial plastic and nasal reconstructive surgery.

He is fellowship trained in advanced rhinology, skull base surgery, and facial plastics, and has particular expertise in functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), including complex revision and extended (advanced) FESS for severe sinonasal disease.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Biggs has a strong academic background with over 60 published research papers and he regularly teaches on a number of national and international rhinology and facial plastic surgery courses. His dual expertise in functional and aesthetic nasal surgery ensures comprehensive care, from managing chronic sinus disease with state-of-the-art endoscopic techniques to performing intricate reconstructive and cosmetic nasal procedures.

Mr Rob Chessman FRCS (ORL-HNS)

Mr Robert Chessman is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon at Portsmouth University Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in otology (the diagnosis and treatment of ear and hearing disorders), in both adults and children, alongside a wide range of general ENT conditions.

He completed his higher surgical training in ENT across the Wessex region, undertaking advanced fellowship training in Otology, Hearing Implants, and Skull Base Surgery at St George’s Hospital, London, where he developed specialist expertise in the management of complex ear disease and hearing restoration.

His clinical interests include the management of chronic ear conditions such as cholesteatoma, otosclerosis and eardrum perforations, with particular focus on hearing restoration techniques including ossiculoplasty and bone conduction hearing implants. He also regularly manages patients with sudden hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, glue ear and eustachian tube dysfunction, performing a wide range of procedures from middle ear reconstruction and stapedectomy to minimally invasive ear surgery and hearing implant insertion.
